Singer Featherweight
Where can i purchase a singer featherweight sewing machine.?
Looking for a vintage singer featherweight as a christmas gift for my mother but cant afford to spend 200 plus dollars on one, any idea where i can find one cheaper, or am i just out of luck.

I purchased mine from ebay a few years back. I lost the first 3 times I tried but I learned something along the way. Look for “buy it now” check that out first. Check for the ones that have a long time (10 days, 21 days) and make sure to read all the print on the add. Also mine came form a pawn shop… Try some local pawn shops. Mine was auctioned form an online pawn shop…. try them too. Last but not least, I have been seeing them on Craig’s list for around 200.00. The holidays are coming , so if you can buy….. buy now.. they tend to spike around holidays… If not take some time to look round. My father worked for Singer in Elizabeth town NJ for over 40 years. Those machines were built to last.
Don’t give up. I paid 250.00 for mine and that included shipping. So set a budget and do not go over it… Have some patience….. and pretty soon you will have a featherweight all your own.. They are worth the effort….and well worth the weight… Happy sewing
